It works to not wake up so hot on the summers night. So a win win.

This topper is very comfortable, I would say a medium firmness, which is perfect for me. It definitely seems to be helping with the small dip of my old mattress and just the comfort that was wearing away in my pillow top. I would recommend this topper.
