The only drawback is I am not sure how effective the "cooling" aspect of the pad is, as it does not feel entirely different than my previous non-cooling pad.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As an average sized person I like it. My husband is approx 275# and he says that he sinks into it a little too much but it's still comfortable. The cooling feature is nice, but with a sheet protector and a sheet over it on the bed it doesn't really work as well. I think if you have a very firm mattress and need a softer top this would be great...but if your mattress is medium firm to medium soft it will make your bed fairly soft. I think that if I hadn't already bought a new mattress, then I would have just bought a regular Tempur-pedic mattress if it was in our budget. So this is a close second.

My wife has back problems and took to this Topper right away. The only thing I would change would be to make it firmer for our use. I,m definitely going to order the firmer mattress after using the Topper I know know the right firmness for us.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently purchased the topper with cooling adapter and it has changed my sleep! My mattress was just a bit to firm and I was waking up with back pain every day. I slept on a friends Temper-Pedic while traveling and had some of the best sleep in months! So I ordered my own when I got home! First night in was a game changer!! I really wanted the mattress, but wasn't ready to take the leap, so went for the topper instead! I will say, if you get the cooling adapter top, make sure to put a mattress cover over it or the sheets will slide against the material. I put my mattress cover over the topper + my mattress and it fixed the slide completely! I'm very happy!
