I have an older bed, but still no sags or wear signs. I had an older foam topper, so time to replace either. My daughters helped in the selection and gave it to me as a birthday gift. I am older and do have a nighttime temperature issue and am a side sleeper. The Tempur-adapt/cooling is now 30 days old. Used it right out of the box, no odors and able to sleep on it the first night. So far, very happy with it. Great for side sleepers, and my nighttime temperature issue is perhaps a little bit better, but the topper is much more comfortable. Ask me again in a year!!! John

Adding this topper changed everything - it's actually now very comfortable to sleep on and thumbs up from recent guests.

I can't ship it back because it's heavier than I can carry, otherwise I'd return or replace it with something firmer. Cooling effect, don't get too excited about it.
