My husband's lower back initially seemed to hurt more with the new topper, but he is adjusting and seems to be fine now. This is really a quality mattress topper! A keeper.

The topper itself feels amazing to the touch, but it is very thin and compresses all the way down. It may be useful on a super firm mattress, but is useless for an old mattress you are trying to extend the life on. I actually hated it by the 3rd night. My mattress feels like it sinks even more now, and the nature of the zero-motion foam makes it more difficult to move... the whole topper slodes to the side with any movement. The straps do not keep it in place at all. And the cooling cover is also a waste of money. Can't feel any of that through your sheets. For the price, you can just buy a whole new mattress elsewhere and hate life a so much less. I wish these were returnable. So disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

So far so good. Just unpacked. Topper feels a bit damp on one side. Could be just a sensation from the Adapt technology and it sat outside, boxed, for a day and it was a bit chilly here. So i am airing ot out for several hours. Will finally sleep on it tonight.

This topper immediately revived the quality our older box spring mattress and led to comfortable sleep. Best part is the elastic straps on each corner to hold it in place; has not slipped out of place once, even with 2 people sleeping on it through the night. Absolutely recommend!
