Topper thickness barely reaches 2.75" despite the advertised 3". It also is very soft and doesn't provide any support. The cooling feature is just to touch and in reality sleeps hot. And not being possible to return it, make it a waste of money honestly.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I truly thought I was going to need a hip replacement!! The pain was sort of sudden, within the last 3 months, kind of out of the blue. When the pain hit, it would stop me in my tracks and take my breath away. Luckily no lasting pain, but the pain in the moment was bad enough. When I started waking up in the morning with that pain, I started to think maybe it was my old mattress. My mattress is 20 years old! I started looking at new mattresses, I have a king size bed, so they were pretty pricey, just not affordable for me right now. I started reading about mattress toppers, all different brands and how people with hip and shoulder issues felt so much better with them. Tempur-Pedic came up as number rated on the site I was looking at, so I decided to go for it. BEST DECISION I EVER MADE! It feels great to be able to walk without that hip PAIN! I do get a little snap or pop every now and then, but no pain. I have been an avid walker through the years and I'm back at it again! Actually down a few pounds too!! Thank you Tempur-Pedic!

I went from a firm mattress to a piece of heaven. My shoulders and hips would hurt. I slept for horribly. NOT anymore. Worth every cent! People come over just to lay on my mattress topper!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased the topper to go over a way too firm mattress. I am a back sleeper and my husband is a side sleeper. We were struggling to find some thing that we could both agree on. The first couple nights with the topper I thought we had made made a grave mistake. It seemed way too soft. Once we got used to it, we are absolutely in love with it. I sleep very comfortably on my back and if you do sleep on your side it is amazing at comforting your joints. I tend to sleep a little hot and have not had any problem at all with this memory foam product. We highly recommend!

My husband and I like to not sweat all night, and even with the windows open in winter it still happens. We had a regular 3 inch Tempurpedic mattress topper for over 12 years, and this was the prefect replacement. It is actually cool, to the touch and all night. Just making this change made all the difference in our sleep quality. Definitely recommend if you sleep hot.
