The foam topper feels like a cloud when you first lay on it, but moves around at night and slowly slides off the side off the bed as a person naturally moves in their sleep. It also makes it so a regular full fitted sheet won't fit anymore, but a queen is way too big. Not sure if it needs a specific mattress pad or fitted sheet. It was expensive enough that if it does it should come with one.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

With well over a year of recovery and 2 surgeries later I spent a lot of time in bed and this topper was just the ticket to help me get a better night sleep. There were only 2 things small draw backs (listed below) but ultimately worth it. If "just" the topper can make such a big difference I can only imagine what a whole mattress of this material would be. A girl can dream! 1. When it was unrolled fresh out of the package it had a few spots on both sides with rips. But with the longer shipping times it seemed like more trouble to try and exchange. It doesn't seem to impact the overall comfort so most likely the material is fragile before casing added 2. As other reviewers have mentioned, it does have a slight odor but we left it uncovered to air out for a few days and haven't had an issue since.

I called about the slight tear and the company was very responsive in acknowledging that should not be there and could potentially become worse. They immediately replaced the topper, while also being friendly and personable in the exchange.

I have a foam mattress at home and use this as topper in a guest room at another place and it's pretty darn close to being as comfy. Only issue is if you are sleeping with another person, it's possible for it to turn into a valley that you both slide into and that can be a little annoying. I think that somewhat has to do with how loosely the sheets hold it against the mattress though.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Was only able to use this for a few nights before I had to take it off my bed. It's not cooling by any means, the issue begins with it being so soft that I sink through all 3 inches of it and am wrapped up in memory foam, which is extremely hot. I was under the impression this was medium and not soft as it was to help with an aging mattress, unfortunately this just exacerbated the issue by making me sink in to an extreme. I wish I would have given more attention to the return policy as unlike other brands Tempur-Pedic does not give a trial period. So now I'm stuck with this horrible topper.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
