The topper would not stay in place. I even bought a big sheet of the material that keeps rugs from slipping and put it between the mattress and the topper but it didn't work. I could not tell if it helped with cooling . I can't recommend this based on my experience

First of, the tempurpedic foam is amazing! So comfortable! The reason for 2 less stars is 1) the cover is so slick that when I laid on my bed the sheets move and get bundled up. I hate this so much, I almost returned it. 2) It says Cal King but on my bed it's about 2-3 inches too short. There is no grips under the pad so this mattress pad moves enough to require me to move the pad every night before bed. If this mattress pad simply just had another cover that had grips on the bottom and a less slick top, I would highly recommend. Unfortunately it missed those marks for us.
