My pursuit was to attain a bed that could provide the highest levels of pressure and pain release as well as provide perfect support. I couldn't have gotten there without this product. This topper excels when paired with a 6.5 level firm base out of 10 (firmest). It has a wonderful cloud like feel as it absorbs your body. But not too soft. It's appropriate for body weights 100lbs to 190lbs. It leaves you about 20% in the bed. (Necessary for pressure release) What I got was a level of comfort I have been looking for my whole life. To not have your body loose circulation throughout the night is just amazing. So often I find myself waking up in the same position I fell asleep in. It's awesome. It excels at back and side sleeping positions. Just make sure you have the right pillow. Now the good part. The pain and pressure relief is of the highest level. You won't feel any pressure on any part of your body when paired with the right base. This is even true for an athletic build. Less forgiving surfaces tend to cut off circulation in parts of the body. A problem with my old beds. You have to experience a pressure free sleep. Especially one that lasts the whole night. It life changing. If your base doesn't have a 6.5 or greater support then this probably won't work for you. Your body won't keep alignment. With movement, you will experience a little resistance rolling but it's completely worth it. Every time I wake up my body feels better than the day before. It's unfortunate people don't realize how important the right mattress is for a quality life. To have a mattress that reduces pain is a new concept for me. In the past I would fairly regularly every few weeks wake up with pain in different areas. Neck, back, shoulders... No longer a problem. As far as the heat goes I would say it retains 35% out of 100max. Any overheating is probably your comforter and sheets. Most people don't realize they are sleeping with the wrong linens. A good comforter should regulate heat and wick away moisture. Most people don't consider that. Do some research on temperature regulating blankets and sheets. It'll be well worth it. The results will be perfect temperature throughout the night even with a hot partner. Now the company... They won me over. A customer for life. They make some of the best sleeping products out there and Their customer service goes above and beyond. They really make sure you are happy. My first product had an issue. I was pretty bummed out. As soon as I spoke to their team I had a fix that was beyond what I could have asked for. The perfect solution without me needing to ask for it. That's how customer service and building relationships should be. I feel they believe in their products and know how important your happiness is. Tempurpedic is worth the investment.

First night of sleep changed my boyfriend's life

I have a Tempurpedic pillow topper at my home and love it. I've been spending more time at my boyfriend's house, and his bed isn't anywhere near as comfortable as mine. His shoulder is always hurting, the point where we have to tape it every morning. Last night was our first night sleeping on the mattress topper. He woke up this morning and said "my shoulder feels SO much better!" I also slept so much better. After 10 days of moderately decent sleep on his mattress, I FINALLY feel rested. I was looking forward to get back to bed, but now we have two comfortable beds to sleep in. All-in-all, I'm loving our two mattress toppers.

A world of a difference with sleep!!

I am in the healthcare field and I wake up with back pain every so often. After sleeping on the mattress topper, my back pain has significantly decreased, it's pretty much gone! The reason I gave it four stars is because the cooling mechanism doesn't work as well as expected. I run cold and originally purchased the cooling option for future guests, but I've noticed i'm now sleeping warmer than usual. It could be the temper foam (my first Tempur bed) and I'm not used to it. All in all I sleep better and my back feels great in the morning!

The foam works great and has really improved my sleep from a back-pain standpoint. However the "cooling" cover, does nothing at all and is a complete waste of money (and in my case land-fill space) So if you'd like to wake up in the morning with less back-pain, but drenched in sweat-this is the product for you!! A lot of other reviews mention this, but I will too because I wish I'd read it closer: NO RETURNS

I thought that this topper, because it was a Tempur-pedic, would be perfect and I was willing to spend quite a bit more than I might have for a topper from another manufacturer. Unfortunately, I was wrong. I expected a firm topper, similar to the Tempur-pedic mattress I had in the past. The one I bought is too soft. I wake up with a back ache every morning. I'm disappointed, at best. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to write this review.
