Headlamp covers on GMC were so yellow I had a hard time see at night, had to use fog lamps... 30 minutes of elbow grease while sitting on curb and this restoration kit and head lamps look like new... Can not believe how simple process was and lamps are crystal clear. Will recommend to anyone needing brighter lighting at night and car appearance is much better as well...

Bought this kit for a 2012 Chevy Impala i recently purchased that had terribly yellowed and cloudy headlights. Be prepared for a dead arm though!! Pictures of results will speak for themselves!!!

The end result looks great - I did the headlight project as a surprise for my husband, and he was impressed! The headlights now look new. Be sure to read and follow the enclosed instructions twice, and also helpful to watch the video. I did the project outside since there isn't a garage I could use, and it is pretty messy. I broke the project into two days because there was quite a bit of time involved in washing, prep, gathering materials for cleaning, setting up a work station, and drying time before evening dew set in, etc. First day was washing, prep, sanding coarse and medium grit. The second day was sanding the fine grit, clear coat and drying time. The more you work on the sanding, the better the headlights look - it is a lot of rubbing, and though not hard, my arms were sore! Things I appreciated- having the clear instructions and video, the correct amount of sandpaper, the grit numbers on the sandpaper, the special paper towels, the glove to protect hand from clear coat, and plenty of cleaner and clear coat. Things wished for - giving a realistic sense of how long the project would take. It seems like it would be a snap, but actually took me around three to four hours to accomplish. I should have started in the morning, not afternoon. There was not enough time to allow for clear coat drying before evening dew fall (freshly applied clear coat can't get wet) so breaking project into two days worked best for me. Thanks Sylvania, for making such a nice, complete kit for car owners to use. The headlights are so much brighter and safer now, I'm very glad I used the kit.
