I’ve only used Dyson vacs since they were first introduced. When the cordless vacuum came out, I’ve always had at least 3-4 in my house to have one available on each level for quick cleanups or a deeper clean. The V15 Detect is the best cordless vacuum I’ve owned so far! The light on the soft brush really highlights everything on my hardwood floors making it easier to clean. All of the attachments are fantastic especially when I vacuum the rugs and hardwood floors and even chairs and couches. The extensions make it easy to reach high places with ease. The runtime is displayed on the vac depending on which mode I’m using which gives me an opportunity to complete my job without unexpectedly running out of charge. I appreciate the design making it easy to hold, more ergonomically correct. When I’m done, it’s easy to dump out everything from the canister and to keep the filtration at its peak, it’s easy to clean. Overall, this vacuum is great at suction on heavy rugs and carpets or fabric couches pulling dust, hair, etc with no problem. This is a great investment for a cleaner home!

What a great purchase. It's convenient, has amazing suction power, and the attachments and design are top notch. It's a bit pricey but no regrets thus far. Also, a redesign of the power button so that it doesn't need to be held in the on position would be a plus.

Works great but . . . it is MUCH heavier than my old Dyson and is very awkward to use as a hand hel (i.e., "dutbuster"). Very, very disappointed by this.

This is the second V15 Detect we have purchased in the last 18 months. We like it that much. We also have a V 10 at a vacation cabin, but the V15 is a big step up. It has more suction and we love the laser-light on the floor attachment. It is a bit heavier than the V10 but not a problem for this 76 year-old female. It comes with more attachments than we will ever use. Cleaning the filter is very easy. You just rinse it for 30 seconds and set it up to dry for 24 hours. The battery lasts for about 40 minutes on the Auto setting. When using the crevice tool it works best on the Boost setting. All in all, this vacuum is all good for our needs!

I own a smaller Dyson which i absolutely love. As we have a fifth wheel trailer, I wanted to keep this smaller one in it. This larger version works great, has more attachments than I know what to do with, but when I use it as a hand held for little jobs, it is heavier than my other one. I didn’t think about that when buying a bigger one. My mistake, but I can deal with it.
