Expensive but well made and very efficient. I learned to late that there are different models of this vacuum. Thought I was purchasing the model that has a shorter extension in the larger/normal tube that is available as soon as you remove the longer tube. Not a deal breaker but I wish I knew.

Sometimes emptying it is problematic.
It requires changing attachments to go from floor to carpet that is a drawback. Most attachments are very good and quite effective.

Received a Dyson V10 Animal as a gift.
After searching reviews, I decided to upgrade to the V15 Detect. Glad I did! Very quiet operation, automatic suction power based on illuminated dust/dirt. Very easy maintenance. The vacuum itself is very maneuverable and lightweight! Purchased extra filters and cleaning brush roller which were fairly inexpensive!

Am I happy with my Dyson purchased? Yes I do. Happy with the suction power, all the attachments really helpful for me to clean the house. My issues with this vacuum are the machine & the way we have to open the container to throw all trash. Yes it’s heavy to hold it around the house. I’m just taking it as exercise I guess, be positive. Especially if I have to vacuum all the way up. I’m 5’3” and it is taking all my muscles to hold this thing.
And after all those vacuuming, full of dust & what not, I find it very surprising that when I open the container, my face is so close to the filter. I didn’t expect there is an opening at the upper part. It’s probably just me being paranoid, but I have to hold my breath everytime. I’m not sure why the design like that because I can see something falling out from the filter area that are not going down to the trash can.
Overall, happy with the suction power.
