I bought this a couple of weeks ago and so far I’m very impressed. Had no idea of all that was on my floor before I started using this new V15 . Wish it had a locking trigger button .
I purchased this vacuum two weeks ago and I absolutely love it. I hope it lasts as long as my Hoover. The suction is great. The battery life is poor ,purchase of additional batteries is suggested as well as an additional filter while you clean the first one and allow it to dry. Overall, I’m sold on the Dyson
As the man of the house sweeping the floors has always been my job. I've never skimped on quality when purchasing a sweeper or any other tool. I've owned the best of the rest at one time or the other. The Dyson v15 detect is amazing. It makes sweeping the floors, rugs, and carpets a breeze. Not only does it sweep better but gets the job done in half the time. I have two large dogs and they shed a lot. The detect laser feature makes an easy job of the hardwood and tile. The main sweeper head is also fantastic. No going over and over the rugs and carpet, it gets it done in one pass saving time and effort. I could go on but again this is the best sweeper I've owned and highly recommend. Worth every penny spent.
I thought I picked out the one I wanted but I didn’t. This model still requires you to hold the switch on while vacuuming. Also you have to take the stick part off to empty the cup. This is a pain for me. Not as happy as I was with my other one. But, I do like the light when vacuuming. Also the suction is terrific! The down side is you have to change the head part to vacuum scatter rugs. Very annoying.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love the Dyson V15 DETECT, but I have been waiting for the missing piece for months with an open ticket.

Pay attention to the reviews. The unit is heavy and the run button that doesn't stay turn on makes it a bit of a pain to operate. If you do not have good upper body strength do not get this unit. It cleans get and I was surprised by the amount of dirt it got out of my carpet. Overall it is a good machine.
