So very disappointed. It hurts to use, it's so heavy. I developed a blister near my thumb and wrist pain. Also, having to switch heads from carpet to hard wood floors is greatly annoying. The battery doesn't last long enough to finish vacuuming my top floor.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My wife and I finally got rid of our carpet and purchased laminate floors. (Our very old, but still very reliable Dysons—one full size vacuum and a smaller cordless v7 would no longer cut it.) I’d been trying to nudge her into buying the v15 for our new needs and she finally came up with the idea “on her own”. Needless to say, when we finally got it home and charged up, we took it for a spin.
Y’all.
That green light debris detector? An absolute game changer! Seriously. We love how you can easily see which areas require attention, how well you cleaned the floor—and how it auto adjusts suction depending on the debris it encounters. This v15 is fantastic!
The battery’s pretty great too. We can easily take care of the whole house. We don’t just do the floors. We switch out attachments to clean our couch cushions, the little grooves in the track of our patio doors, our windows, and floor boards. We also have cats so we can easily see how well it sucks up their fur off our cushions. Which reminds me, the filtration is great. I love the readout that shows how much icky stuff got sucked up and filtered out. I mean… it does all this, is easy to handle, manages to keep about 25% of a charge after we finish, and it doesn’t weigh much at all. This thing is great!

This is an excellent stick vacuum. It has good section and runtime but the thing I most like is something I thought was a gimmick, the green light. I didn't see the purpose of the light until I used the vacuum on a hard surface. The light causes the dust show up plainly making it easy vacuum up. You know you are getting clean floors. Would definitely recommend.

This is our second Tyson, which we bought a month ago and we absolutely love it. It is far superior to the one we bought in 2027 in terms of runtime, suction, and debris detection.In fact, it is so high performing that our cleaning ladies no longer use their own vacuum cleaner as they much prefer using our new Dyson, especially the fixture for thick carpets.

I recently replaced my v11 Dyson (it finally stopped running (after many years of picking up dust, dirt and lots of pet hair) with the v15. First thing I noticed is that the suction was much stronger than the v11. I also love the green light that is on the floor attachment. Had no idea that there was so much stuff on the floor. The green light shows every speck of dirt, dust and pet hair and does not get all wrapped up on the rotating brushes. The only drawback is that I don't think the battery lasts quite as long as the v11. But my home is small and I only have carpet in one bedroom so I'm usually able to finish vacumning my house before needing to recharge. The collection cup is a bit smaller than the v11 but it's easy enough to empty so I don't mind.
