Expensive, but Some parts cheaply made

Much quieter than our old Dyson what about the same suction - Maybe a little bit better. Much heavier than our old Dyson. Tab that snaps down around charging plug cracked. You think that for the hundreds that you pay for this, they could make the tab out of something a little heftier than 1 mm of polystyrene. Also, for the price do you think they could give you A rack for attachments. At least Dyson finally made their batteries able to be switched out.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this a week ago, I am absolutely obsessed. The suction power is incredible, lifting dirt and debris I didn’t know I had. The battery has been impressive, considering the amount of power it puts out. Amazingly, Remains relatively lightweight. The green laser bit is no joke, it actually highlights every bit of dust.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Almost Perfect

I bought the Dyson V15 last month and, so far, were very happy with it. It has excellent suction and filtration. The dirt canister is very easy to empty and clean. And we absolutely LOVE the green laser light that illuminates the area being vacuumed!
Our only complaint is that there isn’t an on and off switch. To run the vacuum you have to continually pull on the trigger, which is annoying and can become uncomfortable if cleaning a large area. And, since the trigger is in the handle, you often accidentally activate it when taking the vacuum out of the charging station or putting it back in. Otherwise, great vacuum!
I would recommend this to a friend!

To many cons for the price tag

I received this vacuum last week. For such an expensive cordless vacuum the cons are too big to let them:
- the suction is bad, I expected to be a better option then the broom.
- vacuuming any type of carpet will not work
- cleaning the vacuum bag of pet hair is a hard task
- to keep the vacuum ON you need to keep your ginger pressed on button
- one of the attachments does not properly stays hooked
- wight wise this machine is not an important on handling it vs. the regular vacuum
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not trigger happy

I received my new Dyson v15 about 2 weeks ago. I was extremely disappointed to learn the unit only runs when trigger is pulled….an uncomfortable, poorly designed, trigger on top section where the heavy battery is housed.
The unit does not have an “on off” switch.

Could have been 5 stars but

Overall score is a 3. The attachments are less than desirable. The fluffy optic does detect the dirt but I don’t find it does a good job actually getting the dirt picked up off my hard floors . The hair screw is a very weird angle. It’s what I was most excited about and I’ll probably never use it. It’s not great. The regular multi surface vacuum head is quite good! It does a good job on my carpet,area rug, smaller mats and hard floors. I wish this machine had a crevice tool to get around the baseboards. Just taking the attachment off doesn’t seem to have enough suction or a good angle to get in there. The overall suction is more than great with the multi floor attachment. I have old 80’s super high pile plush carpet and it is doing so so SO good. I didn’t know my carpets were still capable of being this soft and fluffy. I was going to rip out the carpet but I think I’ll wait. The vacuum pulled all the dirt and dog hair that’s been accumulating for the last 4 years I’ve lived here… and probably longer than that too. The bin is hard to empty, I have to use my hand to scoop out the dirt and dog hair which isn’t the most ideal. The battery is decent as well. I can get 2 thorough vacuums of my entire upper floor (3 bedroom and 2 bathroom house) or 4-5 quicker vacuums on one battery charge. The vacuum is much quieter than my old vacuum, I don’t know what to compare it to but I am happy with the noise. I’m not sure I would vacuum while my baby is sleeping, but maybe I’ll try. Overall I am happy with my purchase just for the multi floor attachment and the way it’s given my carpet new life. If I could return the useless attachments and get part of my money back then I would up this to 5 stars. Giving a 3 star for value for money spent and the attachments.
