Printer arrive before the intended arrival date, some damages to box but no noticeable damages to the printer.
PROs:
Functionality: Scans very well, prints fast, easily put together
Connection: Connecting to Wi-Fi was exceptionally easy
Appearance: Very compact, lighter weight compared to my 8610 that had a cartridge failure and takes up less space.

CONs:
The printing is rather loud and the print quality depends on desired printing (standard B/W, color documents, photos (not the best). In order to scan as PDF, you need to download the application otherwise it defaults to TIF/JPG/etc. The feed tray needs improvement, unable to secure various paper types in order to ensure a proper feed. Touchpad can be gimmicky if you have larger hands (requires a delicate touch) and the provided cartridges (exploded in box my wife's hands were yellow for three days.).

I really like my new 6978! It's so much quicker than my old all-in-one. The only problem I have is I don't know if I have it hooked up right. Having said that though, it scans quite fast and prints like a dream. I really like this machine.
