Prints nicely, but not energy efficient at rest

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The printer does a nice job with great colors and easy setup. However, I put a kill-a-watt meter on it and it used 4 watts of energy sitting there doing nothing. That's in contrast to my Epson that uses none. I've put this one on a power strip and will turn off the power to it when not in use. Other than the poor energy use at rest, it's a great printer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought HP Office Jet Pro 6978 a month ago to replace my HP Office Pro 8600. It is smaller and lighter. It is more difficult to install and it uses too much ink. Within a short period of time I have cleaned the printhead three times. The print quality is streaky. The old one is more efficient and I did not have any problems until it died on me after 6.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Prints quickly and well, but I have been having a little trouble getting some of the features, like scanning to do what it is supposed to. I "upgraded" from an HP6600 and the 6600 was an easier printer to use. The ink is also a LOT more expensive for this printer.
