This is a nice printer. It does use a higher amount of ink than our old HP 7520 used. We couldn't get it to FAX yet.

Have always had HP printers and have never had a bad one. They just keep improving and costing less than the previous one. Had a 6600 and it wore our. Got a 6978 and it is great and under $100 bucks. Easy to set up and help is always available. Only use it for home and is quick, quiet, and reliable.
Cons: Smoother Mouse Pad
Pros: Affordable, Lightweight

I set this printer up on Dec. 26. Yesterday, 7 days later, the notice popped up that the black ink needed to be replaced. Already? I don't yet have the new ink cartridges. I hope they arrive today!

I bought the HP office jet pro 6978 online and it arrived within 48 hours. It was easy to assemble and works great. The price was good and they refunded my unused ink cartridges from the previous model which I was replace thing.
