Great scanner/color printer

Easiest printer setup that I have seen. Everything is done on the printer control screen to connect to local network. Then web site 123.hp.com/install from a pc/laptop installs everything that is needed there.
Great printer/scanner. Scan/shrink/enlarge color or b/w and load pdf to a disc stick. Great to copy docs to send as PDF. Color and b/w quality is great. Print quality q/a is achieved thru a printout and re-scan for internal printer checking. I am not disappointed with anything so far. I did not setup the fax.
Reader tip: for help don't search model 6978. There is online documentation for 6970 but searches on 6978 don't redirect there. The accompanying CD-ROM didn't seem to have a manual. The printer has all the features I wanted but using them, and fixing problems like a paper jam (my fault) would be a lot easier if the documentation were more accessible.
I needed a new printer because I bought a new PC and my old one was outdated. I like it because I can print on both sides without having to turn the paper over myself. It works relatively fast, and it is not noisy. Naturally, the ink does not last long if you do a lot of printing, but that just comes with the territory. I've not printed any photos so I can't say how it prints in that area. Overall, I recommend it.
