I bought this printer 3 weeks ago as a replacement of the exact same model. The OfficeJet Pro 6978 is a pretty good printer for the price I paid but I am disappointed with the reliability. My previous 6978 printer stopped working (the print head died) after 26 months of light use where as my much older Deskjet still working after 10 years. I would recommend the buy the 3 years care pack if you wanted to use it for at least 3 years.

Great for printing and faxing but not good for scanning documents. When scanning a document that is printed on both sides, the back side printing bleeds through to the front when scanned

Having used HP printers for years, when the previous model was exhibiting signs of aging, I turned to HP and this time went up a bit to the OfficeJet Pro. This is an excellent printer, so much faster, AND it connects to the wifi everytime without hesitation. (old printer did not) Our daughter is in college and she loves being able to print from her computer from anywhere in the house. Quality of print is great, and changing ink cartridges doesn't require a mechanical engineering degree.

I have had this Printer about 2 weeks. All my copies have been very clear and very colorful. I chose the instant ink plan so I can use the color without worrying about running out of color ink. I am not at all technical so I cannot comment on all the features. I am though, very pleased with this printer.
