It's quick, efficient, and extraordinarily nice! My fiance says thank you too! We give this espresso maker 4 thumbs up. HIGHLY recommend!

A simple and easy to use machine for some delicious coffee choices

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This quiet and durable machine is great for a quick one cup of gourmet coffee. Easy to use with a color screen and easy touch button interface. It has many great features like 15+ already programmed recipes and a milk frother and heater, a removable bean hopper with a purging system to help get rid of the excess bean grounds. It also features smart dosing technology that allows you to measure and grind the perfect amount of beans each time for the best results. The machine also let's you know when it's time to clean it which is really nice. Overall a very nice machine to easily make a nice cup espresso or other gourmet flavored coffees.

Delicious coffe from a great machine

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Before even using I noticed that the build and design on this product is well thought out. There are wheels in the back to assist in pulling out for cleaning or loading coffee. The scoop for ground coffee doubles as a tool to help install a filter easily. Having come from a Keurig the machine was slightly intimidating but I had no reason to be intimidated! Upon starting it up there are step by step instructions and everything is very intuitive. The machine is very quiet even when grinding beans and the coffee is delicious. There are easily configured options for each drink and you have the ability to save your favorite customizations to a user profile. The machine prompts for emptying trays and cleaning so no chance of drip tray overflow. There is an automatic rinse as the machine turns off and before brewing high is nice.

Be a Professional Barista in your own kitchen

It’s like having your own coffee shop on your countertop. It grinds quieter than a normal coffee maker percolating. This is a major upgrade to my kitchen appliance collection.

It’s like having your own personal barista!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This KitchenAid Fully Automatic Espresso Machine is amazing! All you have to do is put the coffee/espresso beans or ground coffee in, fill the water tank and press a button! It’s perfect for those that enjoy specialty coffee drinks without all of the work! Strength, temperature, volume, body, grind size, and number of shots can all be adjusted to your personal liking. It is capable of saving up to four different profiles so each person can save their favorite drink preferences! I love the self cleaning/rinsing features and the machine will remind you to do them when needed. There is a whole menu dedicated just to the several types of self cleanings! A box of essentials is included which contains a milk tube, water filter, cleaning tablets, a coffee scoop/filter installer, easy to follow instruction booklet, quick start guide and a recipe book! The on screen menu offers a one button touch for espresso, cappuccino, caffe latte, Americano, coffee, macchiato, latte macchiato, warm milk and hot water. I could go on and on, but basically every feature you could ever want, this machine has (and then some!) It’s perfect for anyone from beginners to experts. The loudest sound it makes is during grinding, but even that is not terribly loud. It is a heavy, very well made machine. I highly recommend it!

Excellent for someone who love espresso but doesn’t have the time or want to play with all the gadgets that traditional espresso machines require.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First and foremost I really really want to give this a five star, and I can’t because there were just a couple of things that prevented it.
The positives(More than listed I’m sure):
Truly a good quality and well built machine. It is so easy to use and makes amazing espresso and other coffees. The components come apart easily for cleaning mostly. Water and bean filling is easy and the removable bean tray allows for swapping beans easily if not everyone can agree on the beans. The puck clean out tray works very well and is simple to rinse. The automated cleaning is very convenient. Literally using it every morning and love it more each day.

The constructive feedback (I know this is being picky but this is honestly feedback on where improvements can be made):
The instruction manual shows that there should be two ends on the milk hose so my wife and I though we were missing pieces for a while and looked through the box, but I concluded that it was likely a rev. change for lower complexity and lower cost which I whole heartedly agree with, the user manual just needs an update. There isn’t much warning when the start up rinse is going to kick in. It would be better if there was a hold mechanism in the program logic that asked if you are ready to rinse so you can get a cup under it. We resorted to always just leaving a cup under it. The handle one the water tank makes it nearly impossible for anyone with larger hands to get into it for cleaning. I would recommend eliminating the swivel handle and doing a cut out on the outlet panel and slight recess in the tank to grip, or maybe just two molded in handles on the two skinnier side which this change should be tool safe and not require new molds just modified existing molds. The pour spout on the drip tray is not effective. It is centered in the back of the tray and to get all the liquid out of the tray it requires a counter clockwise tilt so a more natural pour spout location would be the left corner this could be achieved adding a slight lip around the rim save for that left area to help prevent over spill. The stainless catch tray I would add finger half circle intent on each side of the grate for easier removal. I currently just pinch the middle grates which works but not really ideal for end user experience. When we got the machine it was set to the finest grind possible which led to a poor initial experience because the grind was so fine that it wouldn’t allow for saturation and through flow of the water and most of it would end up in the catch tray. It also cause a very consistent low beans alert even when the beans were full. I would highly recommend the stock position be the most course then allow the end user to adjust as desired. I found the middle setting is my perfect grind.

Bottom line, life IS better with this product in it the few opportunities for improvement are just that to an already good product.
