Lukewarm at best

We just received our new KF6 in stainless steel. We like the selection and customization options. However, you cannot fit a large mug or travel mug below the dispenser. Our biggest disappointment is that the drinks come out warm, not hot, even when we select "high" for the temperature. In order to have a hot drink, we have to microwave our drinks after they dispense. They do taste great, but coffee should be hot, not lukewarm!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Worth the expensive price tag

I was hesitant because of the price, but took the plunge and got it. So glad I did, It is the best coffee I have ever had. It was intimidating at first trying to use it. I Utubed the directions for set up. (easier than the instructions) Supper simple to use. I don't like that when it turns on, it goes through the cleaning cycle, but I just leave an empty cup under it at all times. Still getting used to adjusting all my options, but I have mastered the cappuccino and it is delicious. Would recommend if you can afford it.

Perfect superautomatic espresso machine

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fantastic machine all around, and it looks beautiful on our kitchen counter! Coffee menu is very intuitive and easy to customize, coffee temperature is nice and hot on the highest setting, and milk-based beverages are delicious, with a perfect milk froth. Really like the side water tank, which can be removed easily even with low upper kitchen cabinets above the machine. The materials are super high quality, especially since the outer panels are made of stainless steel rather than flimsy plastic like most other machines in this price range. Very easy to clean as well. In my opinion, it's a far better appliance than its direct competitors, even the ones double the price!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Avoid If You Want Milk Espresso Beverages

Recently bought this Fully Automatic Espresso machine to replace another Fully Automatic machine that I had for 18 years.
The machine can produce a decent single shot or Americano. Temperatures on HIGH are around 140-145F into a warm rinsed cup.
The big problem is the milk beverages. The temperature of the milk is very low on high temp. For a factory set latte on HIGH temp, pre-milk the shot was 145F, once the milk was added the temp decreases to 127F. This is not acceptable, on high the milk temp should be at least 145F and preferably around 160F. I agree with other reviewers that the milk heating on this machine is extremely sub-par. The problem is that there is no way to remedy unlike a manual steam wand. The temperature drops even more if you want a more traditionally sized latte with 6-8oz milk.
Very disappointed, and hoping there is someone who can remedy this.

Love it!

Kitchen Aid hit a home run with this machine. I've had coffee from Juras and Nespresso machines. I purchased a DeLonghi and used it a few times only to discover broken pieces in the bottom of the box. So I returned it and decided to spend twice as much (gulp) on the Kitchen Aid and it was so worth it. Right away, the packing was so much better, and the instructions were clear and easy to follow. (The Delonghi instructions were practically incomprehensible). Everything just works on this machine, from changing default settings, cleaning functions, to of course making fantastic coffee. I'm very happy with my purchase, and am glad the DeLonghi was broken, because I would have just lived with it if it wasn't and not purchased this by far superior product.
