The machine arrived yesterday, and I am less than impressed. The function itself is great, but I'm having difficulty dialing in a good cup of coffee. So far I'd say I'm getting "spit out disgusting" to "approaching marginally adequate" with the KF6.
I've used 2 different types of beans, changed the grind, temperature (which seems scolding hot, but measures at 160º/175º/185º for water alone), coffee volume, and water volume. I've somewhat worked with changing around the Strength (there are only 3 beans as an option on the KF6 and I believe the KF7 and KF8 have 5 or 6 beans) as well as somewhat played with the Body (light, medium, strong), but I honestly don't understand what I'm changing when I change the Body.
I've used the Americano option (terrible), Espresso and manually adding water (also terrible), tried my preferred Long Black and added water then Espresso (terrible), and the Coffee option (approaching marginally adequate).
Yes, it is only day 2 but it shouldn't take this much work nor should I waste this many beans to dial in a decent cup.

Wow! Big hit with the family

Wow! Big hit with the family. Grandam has a custom Latte programed that she set up after 3 cups of testing. Hot chocolate from a package with steamed milk needs an extra shot 2oz of hot water to make it hot. All beans have a different caffeine content. You can make some eye twitching strong expresso with the right beans. This might be a camping game changer.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Decent coffee maker, but it's wasteful and messy

I've had my machine for over a year now. I love that you can save multiple profiles and several drinks in each profile. It makes creating a coffee exactly how I like it very easy. But I wish I had got a different coffee maker. It uses a quarter cup of water to rinse every time you turn it on and every time you turn it off. Wasting half a cup of water every use is ridiculous! The coffee Hopper is also very messy and Spills coffee grounds inside the machine. You can access it to clean them up, but they do go moldy quite quickly and it's just a lot of work. The drip trays also constantly get filled from the regular internal workings of the machine and contain not only water but also coffee and so it's always a mucky mess as well.

It’s a great machine. I had a problem with the first one I bought clogging up but they sent a replacement and it seems to work fine. All the features and the design and interfaces are very high end.

Solid machine that makes great coffee drinks!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We went from a Keurig to the Kitchenaid KF6. It's night and day, going from pods to beans. The fact that I don't have to manually froth the milk for my wife's Late Macchiato anymore is awesome! She took some time to get used to the coffee from the Kitchenaid, but I took to it immediately with the Americano. And, cleaning is a breeze! This is just a well built, all around coffee/cappuccino machine. Definitely recommend it.

Decent Espresso and just ok milk drinks

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought to make espresso and occasional milk drink. Excellent espresso after dialing in my preferences. The caps and lattes are just ok, steamed milk works, but weak frothing. For the price point, this was a good purchase.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Need the milk tank to get the full experience
on April 4, 2024

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This espresso machine is quiet and easy to clean. My husband says the espresso tastes watered down, but I don't agree, it boils down to personal preference. I do have a coffee maker and when comparing the two machines, this espresso makes a great cup of coffee. This thing is very bulky so I put my regular coffee maker away. In my opinion, this machine wastes a lot of water for a single cup of coffee, it rinses before AND after use. Another con is, if you don't buy the milk tank, this machine can't make the drinks that require milk, so you're not getting the full experience. Lastly, when I was cleaning the drip tray, the latch broke off, thus making the whole machine unusable because it thinks there is no drip tray without the little piece that broke off. Watch the video attached for clarification.
