Re-hemmed Levis jeans, just had to go slowly over seams. Buy heavy duty thread, looked good.

I despise this machine

It continuously gets bogged down with lint from the thread and fabric. When this happens it fails to sew correctly and I have to use compressed air to blow it all out of there.
Also, I'll be sewing along doing just fine on a zigzag stitch and from out of nowhere, in the middle of a line of stitching it decides to do a straight stitch. If I could go buy a different machine today I would smash this one with my hammer. Will I ever purchase another Brother machine? Probably not.

Good machine but could be better.

Great little lightweight machine for home use. Has not problem doing basic clothing or crafts. However, why would you not make the removable piece on the front, work as a drawer to hold all the accessories?? It could pull forward and be a storage drawer AND be removable to work on sleeves and such. Just a waste not to.

I love this little machine. It’s affordable, simple, light weight , dependable and so easy to use. I think it is one of the best value purchases I have ever made. If you sew for hobby (I make a lot of quilts) or just like to sew some of your own clothing or home accents, you can’t go wrong with this machine. For years I was a professional seamstress with a fancy machine – but this Brother is more a joy to work with than my other machine
