Great thermostat

So glad I decided to try the Nest learning thermostat. It was easy to set up. No common wire required. I was worried about that. Great visual. Easy to use. Programmable. Just have to get used to the 1 degree temperature swing. Standard thermostats are 0.5 degrees. On a cold day it was feeling cold before it came on again. Easy fix, just turn it up. Happy with my purchase.

Do Not buy this device support terrible

After 3 months the device stopped working on wi-fi . Apparently there is a known issue with a specific batch.
Called and did troubleshooting with support. The asked to do factory reset. That leaves the device dead as it can't connect to wireless
The said to send replacement
They sent refurbished devices first. This was DOA.
Returned that back but they need 5 days to confirm.
10 days without a thermostat has to go purchase a new one
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

As a contractor , the nest thermostats are a complete nightmare to program ,! Steer clear of this product ! Complete waste of money !
