Very Impressed with the product when hooked up to Google Nest. Professionally installed by The Geek Squad.
Negative Point:
Original order was screwed up and took 3 weeks for delivery and no communication 24 hours prior. Resolution by local store very positive } 5 star
Overall impression is a positive one.

Love the fact You can work with this thing from your mobile device through Wi-Fi. the displays is nice and big so good for elderly people.
I found it easy to install got some help from that YouTube video.

Annoying thing on my wall

Wifi enabled works well for the two times a year I want to turn heat or ac on while returning home from a longer trip. But if the wifi goes out the thing stops working and gives you some connection error. It is annoying to use and setup with the dial to select character input system. The “leaf” reward system for turning down your heat or up your ac temp only gives credit when you go past your schedule temp. The home detection learning mode is terrible. The learning algorithm makes a mess of a set schedule. And I don’t like the fact you have to get a Gmail acct to use this thing. Glad it was free but I doubt I would ever buy one. Have not bothered to do geo fence with smart phone as I don’t want it turning my heat off or on when I drive near my house but don’t go in. It also lights up every time I walk past regardless if I want to see what it’s doing so it kind of comes across as needy. I’m the only one who is needy here.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Happy with the addition to our Nest products

Very happy with our new thermostat and looking forward to the off site control of the house temperature. Install was challenged with the internal battery being so low that it could not connect to wifi or conduct the required software update. Waited it out and everything eventually came together. Hopeful with added energy savings over our traditional programable thermostat.

Nest thermostat is worth money . Very easy to install , more importantly it works on even 2 wire old oil heating systems with out require C wire.

We recently purchased a Google Nest and Nest Hello and we are very pleased with both items. The thermostat temperature is easy to set and manage for consistency and comfort. We were particularly pleased with the installation service provided by the Best Buy Geek Squad technician. He was on time and competent. He provided skilled installation of both The Nest and and the doorbell, Nest Hello. We are happy to recommend both products and the installation service as provided by technician.
