It's helpful and I wouldn't necessarily go with the sizing recommendations. You need one that fits you. However, the gym smell is rather off putting...after a month or so, it is lessening, even with the recommended airing. Don't remember that from my other 2. Was also hard to find!

The shape of the pillow provides great neck support. My only complaint is that it's taken a very long time for the plastic-like smell to dissipate from when I first opened it. We followed the instructions to air it out and knead it regularly, but even now (about 4 months later) there is still a faint smell. It was so strong at first that my husband couldn't even lie next to it because it nauseated him.

We have three Tempurpedic neck pillows that we have used over the past 10+ years and love them. Everyone in my family asked for a new neck pillow for Christmas with huge excitement! We measured and ordered accordingly based on the website msmts. We received the pillows and they are terrible. They are way too big! The smalls fit ok for our 8 & 9 year olds, the medium for me (5"7") and the large for my husband (6') are really uncomfortable and too big from shoulder to base of head. Also, there really is no significant difference in the sizes of medium and large. My husband tried to sleep with my medium and it was still to big from shoulder to head. Unfortunately, we can't return or exchange them - so, money wasted. Boohoo. Bring the old msmt. neck pillows from years past back!

I think this is my 3rd pillow I've bought over the years. I travel with them everywhere! I did notice a slight difference in the feel from those I had for many years. It is all good though because I immediately felt relief in my neck and upper back when I put my head on it. I'm 5'6" and have always used the small size. If you are new to these it does take a few weeks to get used to the feel especially if your neck is not 100%. Like many others that ordered these I have cervical disc issues and don't know what I would have done without this pillow. I'm hoping I can order/find the replacement for the satin cover I have but not sure it's available anymore.

I purchased the TEMPUR neck pillow to replace one I previously owned. While the curve of the new pillow fit my neck well, the good news ended there. I found the new material in the product to be much harder but worse than that, very irritating to my skin. I had a rash on my face from using the pillow which persisted until I gave up and stopped using it. I tried putting additional pillow cases (up to 3) on top of the one it came with but nothing helped. Of course I had also washed the zip off case but unfortunately the pillow itself is not washable.

I bought a queen size contoured pillow after my older one went soft. Unfortunately the new model is more interwoven with fabric and the 'give' is not as isolated, resulting in a less comfortable pillow for neck-issue sufferers. The older pillow would give _only_ where your head lay, while the newer one pulls down an extended area. This means you can't simply shift to a spot slighty away from where your head rested in order to 'reset'.

We just bought a new Neck pillow to replace an old one that we had for a few years. BE AWARE: The new NECK pillows are much harder than they used to be. Tempurpedic must have changed the density of the foam that is used for the neck pillows. I hate the new neck pillow because it is now too hard. I had to return it. We loved the old pillow. I hope Tempurpedic goes back to making the the old pillow!!

Wow. As a previously very happy TP customer of 10 years, I'm pretty surprised to be writing this. I purchased this for my wife but neither of us can bare sleeping on it despite trying for weeks for a non-existent breakin. For reference, I am 160lbs, 5'10" my wife is 125lbs @ 5'10". * Materials are not at all the same. * Too stiff. There's very little give, and has been 0 "break in" over the course of several months. * Uncomfortable on neck -- the lack of "give" in the pillow causes your neck to be craned up in a very uncomfortable position. * The pillow smells. Though that has decreased in the last few months. * No return policy. Ouch.
