I really need the neck support and try to go to sleep on my back so I can use the pillow. But I am a side sleeper and haven't been able to use the pillow on my side. Anyone have any suggestions? I thought if there was a smaller size that would support my neck with out cutting off my carotid artery then I could sleep on my side. I have pretty sever neck pain from previous whiplashes that have created arthritis.

I originally bought one of these pillows many years ago on the advice of my chiropractor. It eventually wore out and I was in a hurry so I just bought a conventional pillow at a local store. I went through several regular pillows and still I was having neck problems. I finally pulled the trigger on a new Tempurpedic contoured pillow and the very next morning my neck felt better than it had in years. I mostly sleep on my sides but sometimes flip to my back. Works well in all positions.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While it's not exactly the one stop solution I was hoping for (I do still need another thin pillow to adjust the elevation), the ratio of squish to form, along with the shape, are pretty spot on for my side sleeping style.
