After a reverse shoulder replacement which required wearing a sling and sleeping in a recliner chair for 4 weeks, I developed a pain in my neck. I went to a licensed Medical Message professional for treatment and she recommended a foam pillow. Since I had a Tempurpedic mattress, I investigated and found the sizing chart which is what I purchased. In conjunction with the medical message, the pillow has helped me maintain the muscle and tendon corrections that I have achieved, relieving the pain. I love the case that allows me to take my pillow with me when traveling.

I have been using this style pillow for about 20 years - replacing it about every 3-4 years. I have tried lots of different pillows and have never found anything that works for me better than this pillow. I use the shorter height one, and I am mostly a back sleeper. When I do lay on my side, and fold a hand towel in half and insert it under the pillow. The newer foam is not as soft as the original foam. And, now that have replace the cover on the pillow which makes the pillow very firm, and it does not work for me. So, I take the new cover off and put a regular cotton pillow protector on, and it works well. The smell is awful. I make the pillow work for me in these ways: I take the cover off the pillow and wash it. I leave the pillow out for about six weeks flipping the top and bottom of the pillow. If the weather is nice, I put it out on our covered porch during the day and bring it back in at night. I know this sounds like a lot of work, and it is worth it to me. If you like to curl your pillow up in a ball (like my husband does), this pillow will not work for you. If you like a low profile to medium profile pillow, it may work for you. Pillows are very personal.

Before I purchased the neck pillow I was having trouble every night with my arms usually one or the other going completely numb. Now after using this pillow I have not experienced any numbness and have great support with my neck and definitely a betters night sleep.

I love these pillows & this is the 5th one that I have bought. They really do work for stiff necks & the support is great. They last anywhere between two & a half to three years & then it is time for a new one. The reason I gave this a 4 star rating is because of the smell. None of the other pillows I bought had this bad smell. It did go away after a few weeks, but I don't understand what was changed that made this one smell so bad. I wish you would go back to using whatever was used before that didn't have that smell. Other than that, if you want a pillow for support, I highly recommend the neck support pillow.
