Stopped working after a year

I bought this laminator at the start of the school year last year, since my kids were going to remote it felt like a good idea to have a laminator on hand. I have used it a handful of times or less. Today, I went to laminate a chore chart I made for my youngest and it won't turn on at all. I know it was a fairly inexpensive product, but it's annoying. Especially seeing a lot of reviews similar to mine.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Garbage.

I have used this laminator maybe four times, and only laminated ten pages. It will no longer turn on.

Worked 4 times and then nothing

Purchased and worked less than 5 times and now suddenly - nothing. No lights, doesn’t come on. Piece of garbage.

No Power 😡

Have used this unit for a few years, and it has worked perfectly.... until now. Needed to do some laminating, unit does not want to turn on. I see several other comments for the same problem. I always store this in the original box with all the packing materials. It is unacceptable that this no longer works.

Dead Unit? Seems it might have some life....

Have had this unit for a few years now, and it has worked flawlessly.... until now. Needed to do some laminating, unit does not want to turn on. I do see the power light flash, but then it goes immediately off. Anyone know how to fix this?

A Great Update for the Scotch Laminator

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 3M gave me a free sample of this product to try out and I was pretty stoked to put it thru its paces. Before receiving this free sample, I had been a long time user of one of Scotch's older laminator models (5 + years) and this latest model had a bunch of things that I really loved. The extra wide paper loading area made it easy to laminate scrapbooking pages and signs for the local school that I volunteer for that don't fit the standard 8 1/2 by 11 model. It also seemed to warm up a little faster than my previous model, was whisper quiet while the paper was being run thru the machine (my old model would whine a little) and the laminated products came out cool to the touch when they were finished being laminated. Having the product come out cool is a big plus for me as a mom because it made me feel comfortable that I could have my older son use this with no problem for school projects. The only small issue that I noted was the cool down time of the machine. It did seem to take longer than my older machine but overall, it wasn't anything that bothered me too much. Lastly, but certainly not unimportant, is the new look of the machine. Its pretty sleek and looks so good with my other Apple equipment in my office. I would definitely recommend this machine to anyone

The Scotch Pro Thermal Laminator is a breeze to use! Easy to follow instructions and definitely a plus for my home office and craft room!

Received this product as part of a 3M promotion and it is the best ever! Documents are laminated with no damage to their integrity and clearly viewable.
