String broke and ruined arrow under 30 shots.

Extemely dissappointed in this crossbow and arrows. Bought the bow about a month ago. Sighted it in no problems. Was fine tuning it at different distances. I do not shoot groups due to the possibility of striking my arrows and damaging them. They are too expensive to chance this. Less than 30 shots on the bow and the string broke and the carbon arrow rear end broke and shoved the nock into it several inches. Took it to the local store to have it fixed under warranty only to be informed after they did their part and telling me it was my fault and i had to pay for it. Didnt seem to care about me researching issues with both tenpoint and wicked ridge having issues with some of their bows, including this one, on breaking strings and bad arrows with omni nocks under 50 shots. Mine use the recommended alpha nock and didnt seem to matter. Could the arrow have had a defect, yes. I check my arrows and did not see or notice any issues. If it was my fault i would not have asked to do warranty repair. Bad experience so far.

Sorry to hear you had an issue. More than likely, the broken arrow is what cut the bow string, not the other way around. A string that come in contact with the raw arrow shaft will almost always get cut. I'm glad the dealer was able to get you back out in the woods quickly.

Love this Crossbow!

My husband and I just bought this bow a few weeks ago at an Outdoor Show. It is an amazing bow! It shoots so fast and very accurate. It's small, compact and easy to carry. I haven't taken it out hunting yet, but we did a lot of target shooting in our backyard and I am very impressed and can't wait for next years hunting season.

Awesome budget reverse draw

Purchased this bow from Wyvern Creation and upgraded scope to RangeMaster pro, and pro elite arrows. Since wicked ridge is the budget line I expected it to be cheaper feeling. That is not the case. Bow looks and feels great. It is pretty light and feels even lighter due to the reverse draw design. Bow is plenty accurate and packs a punch with 100 grain heads and the elite arrows, better have a good Target. Trigger is fair, plenty light, but has just a bit of cheap which isn’t really a bad thing on a crossbow. Bow is pretty narrow which will be great as I hunt some pretty thick brush that is very difficult with your traditional 20+ in wide bows. Would like to see them make it able to put quiver on top of bow without buying the bohning weaver rail mount. Bow has blown my expectations out of the water, and is much more affordable then other reverse draw bows.

The continued development and delivery of RDX design crossbows is a hallmark of TenPoint going back many years. I've owned several reverse draw crossbows and was happily surprised and excited to see a new offering in the Wicked Ridge line. After handling and shooting it, I knew it was a keeper. It's a great offering at an unbeatable price point.

I was initially thrilled with my purchase. Now came sighted in nearly perfect and I was ready to get started.
Right limb cracked on 13th shot and had to be returned to company. Now came back as a Frankenstein with Horton limbs so I could finish bow season but my foot strap was missing requiring it to be sent back again.
At this point our season in MO is over and I’ve not been able to bow hunt once.
Pretty disappointed overall but will review again after I’ve had some time to actually use the bow.

This is a mixed bag review but mostly positive. The BOW is great and the SCOPE is horrible. In total I have shot this bow over 150 times prior to writing this review. I initially had concerns that I had made a poor decision buying this bow but once I swapped the scope out with a Hawke XB30 compact I was thrilled. The bow equipped as I have it now shoots sub-1” groups (off a bench) all the way out to 70 yards (which is all the farther I have shot so far) and based on the scope setting is shooting around 380 fps with the Ten Point Pro Elite bolts. The only other thing I would add is the fact the bow comes with aluminum bolts out of the box is ridiculous. My suggestion to Ten Point would be to offer a Marksman Package or whatever that would equip the RDX400 with the Hawke Scope and the Pro Elite bolts in an effort to save the end user the time, frustration and effort of putting the pieces together on their own.

Cons: very heavy, should not come standard with aluminum arrows, Acura draw is so loud when used it will run every animal out of the woods

Love my first crossbow Rdx 400

I love this bow because it was easy to set up and easy to use. So easy my daughter now wants to go on deer hunting trips with dad. So she is putting in time behind it.
