Accurate right out of the box! Fas, hard hitting, light weight and did I mention accurate! I had the bow for only a week and harvested my first turkey ever with it! It’s a great bow!

You get your money’s worth. It’s light, compact, stable, accurate, and very quiet. It’s balance is excellent and at 400 feet per second, it hits hard. I’m very happy with mine but I do hope they make a few changes for their next model. For night hunting there needs to be an accessory rail forward of the handguard. To improve the manual cocking the groove at the rear of the receiver that indexes the cocking string needs to be more pronounced. And finally, the scope adjustments need to be bind free. When I wish to adjust for windage or elevation by 4clicks in any direction, I need to sail in 6 clicks and then back off by 2 clicks. This is minor but would be a dream come true if done for the next version of this cutting edge bow.

My boy and I each purchased a new Wicked Ridge RDX 400 - I owned a ten pt crossbow for 9 years, he had a Horton for 5 years. My RDX blew up the string after two weeks and about my 15th shot thru it. Took it back to the store and they gave me a new crossbow, I talked with Randy at Ten Point and he recommended using the new Alpha nock. I couldn't be happier with the attention Ten Point service gave me, the bow is a dream to shoot, accurate, quiet, perfect fit. I have no worries this bow will last me 9 years like the previous one. Not sure of root cause for string failure.

A Concerned Hunter

To add some context to my critique, I've been an owner of Wicked Ridge crossbows for 5 years and had nothing but great experiences with each product. That's part of why I so easily brushed off the jarring feedback on the RDX400 left in online reviews. I took the bow to an authorized dealer at the first sign of trouble (loose groupings no more than a dozen shots after getting the sighted in) to hear the part of the string that comes in contact with the nock was beginning to unravel. That made sense and the bow behaved for the first few shots after getting that item corrected. Then the loose groupings began creeping back in. I took the bow to not one, but two authorized dealers who assured me there were no functional issues. I took their word for it, and three shots into my next session the string snapped, violently dislodging the limbs. Given that the elk hunt I purchased this bow for was only 12 days away, I rushed back to an authorized dealer for a third time to have the strings replaced. In less than 20 shots, the bow reverted back to its erratic grouping pattern. I'm no deadeye, but in this case, I'm comfortable saying it's the bow because I then picked up my two cheaper Wicked Ridge models and they shot as reliably as they always have. I'm a huge fan of the intent behind creating a reverse draw crossbow for "the working man", just not at the expense of hunter safety or ethical harvests. Both of which are unquestionably compromised with the RDX400. It's hard to not acknowledge how many of the 5-star reviews are written immediately after purchase, in many cases before the weapon was ever fired, and in virtually every case before its reliability can be adequately tested. In all fairness, if you go ahead and buy this bow, there's a pretty decent chance you'll have a similar experience to theirs, and it won't be having a bad day when you need it most. I just think the people reaching for this model deserve better than a pretty decent chance.

EXTREMELY Disappointed in this product

I purchased a TenPoint RDX crossbow as a Christmas present, for my husband. He has had shoulder issues and after researching I decided to purchase this particular bow. I am EXTREMELY disappointed with both the product and the company's unwillingness to back their product. The crossbow started malfunctioning within the first use. After he finds the cam bent then the string broke after pulling and just barely misses my eye, at this point I'm thinking this is extremely unsafe so we decided to take it to an Arcchery shop to have repaired. They felt like it may be under warranty. After reaching out for warranty support, the company refused to honor it. This experience has left me with a sense of frustration and regret for choosing this brand. I would caution others to consider alternative options with better quality and a Company that actually backs their product.

Very dangerous crank for anyone!

The ACUdraw pro crank almost broke my wrist as it spun backwards. The crank boke internally somehow? A new ACUdraw crank is almost 1/2 the cost of a new RDX 400! It left a welt on my wrist bone the size of a golf ball and still hurts after two months of injury!
