[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got the seven quart kitchenaid mixer after decades of having the artisan. I like it but it definitely has its negative points. The biggest issue is putting on the bowl. I find it unwieldy and unnecessarily awkward to attach it to the mixer. It is also difficult to add ingredients to the bowl when it’s attached. The whisk has to be moved to certain positions in order to get the ingredients in without a mess. I have made mashed potatoes three times in it in a larger quantity and find it difficult to tell when I have the right consistency. Once I tried to remove the whole bowl to check the consistency and could not get it back on because it was so heavy and my potatoes were a disappointment because I ended up using my hand mixer to finish them. I also tried to whip about a cup of whipping cream and had to stop because it could not manage that small an amount. Switching paddles/whisks attachment is also a pain in the middle of a recipe, like going from whisk to dough hook for bread for example. I really do miss my artisan, because not everything I do is in large quantities. When my husband bought me this for my birthday, I really wanted the Ankarsrum, but I got the kitchenaid instead because of its attachment abilities. The true test will be when I am canning and whether it is able to use the vegetable attachment that I use for making sauce, because the information at the time of purchase does not tell you which attachments are compatible.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was upgrading my older model and wanted something a bit bigger, what a great idea that was. The larger bowl from 5.5qt to the 7qt is awesome. I use it for all types of mixing and so far no issue and I even used my old meat grinder attachment and it worked flawlessly.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my new lift stand mixer. It takes some getting use to after using my classic for 30 years. The bowl is a little difficult to attach but I would definitely buy it again.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this mixer over 6 months ago. This is my 2nd KitchenAid stand mixer. I do a lot of baking, and it was time to upgrade my 5.5 qrt to a 7 qrt. As expected, KitchenAid is high-quality product. In a world where things are cheaply made, KitchenAid follows old standards and is built to last. The coloring is gorgeous and the attention to detail does not go unnoticed. It never disappoints. If you are looking for A stylish workhorse, this product is for you. My first one was a gift from my husband over 20 years ago and is still going strong. I always say, it was the gift. I never knew I always wanted.
Bought this in December and it took well over a month to arrive. Today, I was finally able to get it out of the box and it would run for two to four seconds at all speeds and turn off. After three tries, it was stuck at full speed when on the half speed tick mark and then stopped working entirely after a half second. Hadn’t been out of the box more than ten minutes and was broken. Very dissatisfied.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m so happy with this mixer! I had a smaller kitchenaid for the last 20 years and it has been a Workhorse but now that my daughters have joined our baking/food prep team we needed to step it up a notch. We make a lot of bread and baked goods and this bigger machine can really take it and because of the bigger size we can make double batches of bread easier for our large family. We also received one of the pasta attachment to go with it and are excited to be using that more often as well!
