I received this as a gift from my daughter and family for my birthday. I have had one before that was used. So excited to receive a brand new KitchenAid!!
This is my third kitchenAid mixer in a 50 year time frame. Each and every one have been used almost daily. I love their power and multi-use abilities. I am a rancher and bake quite often three to four times a week. So I am a testament to the reliability and consistent quality of KitchenAid products.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is not my first Kitchenaid stand mixer, I have purchased many others for family members, and atleast 4 others for myself...as an at home baker, I relied on the power and consistency of my kitchenaid mixers. I have gifted many to family members and friends who could not afford a Kitchenaid.
I bought one of these and within a month it quit turning on in the middle of making mashed potatoes for Thanksgiving dinner for 27 people. After the previous one lasted 13 years and my grandmother's is still running after 40 years, I was disappointed to say the least. I guess they really don't make them like they used to. I ordered another hoping it was a fluke and it's only been a month, but so far so good.

I bought this mixer to start making pasta dishes at home. I love the mixer and 5 piece pasta set and would definitely recommend both of them. I also have the slicer/shredder attachment and metal food grinder attachment but have not used them yet. What I found difficult was using the website to find instructions on using all the tools. It could be just me but I think it could be improved. By the way, the 7qt mixing bowl holds an enormous batch of Toll House Cookie Dough, very handy.
I loved this machine while it still worked. It ran so quietly. The circuit board failed and we havent had the money to get it fixed yet.
We also bought the meat grinder and sausage making attachment. We used it and realized that the raw meat juice was pushing back into the nozzle. My husband could open it and clean the juice out, which would have been a health hazard if it stayed there.
I still have the beautiful candy apple red machine on my kitchen counter, and I dream of having it working again. We have three daughters and we love baking.
