Motor seems to have loose wiring

Got this as a gift and it stopped working 1/3 of the way into churning the very first batch. Tried adjusting the placement and nothing helped, except if I forcibly held it down and in place. Then even that didn’t work. Soupy/barely frozen ice cream and I can’t get it to work even dry-no ingredients now. Waste of money.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The ice cream was creamy. Tried a basic vanilla recipe and the heavy cream froze at a different rate than the milk so it was a bit chunky. Upgraded to some mix ins...hoping for better results
