Love the cordless feature

I bought this vacuum because it was cordless. I am satisfied with how long the battery lasts. It is extremely light and the attachments are easy to use and change. Because I don't need to drag a heavy upright up and down two flights of steps, I am finding that I am using it much more often. I don't need to spend hours vacuuming as a result. The suction is also so much better than my other vacuum. I love the steps and upholstery attachment. I would recommend this vacuum to a friend.

I went back & forth on whether to buy a Dyson for years, and I'm so glad I finally decided to spend the money! It is a great product, strong suction, excellent reach, not heavy, and we are very happy to be vacuuming much more than we have been in the past.

Wow, powerful and quiet

We've owned Dyson sticks ever since they came out. Our V-6 was getting old and tired so we upgraded tp the V-8. Works like a charm. Love the low noise and love the two floor attachments. There are a lot of stick vacuums to choose from, but you can never go wrong with Dyson.

Kicking and screaming

In my family my nickname is “kicking and screaming” - that’s because I feel that I don’t need all this newfangled technology and I’m sometimes forced to upgrade and kick myself for not upgrading sooner.
This is one of those instances!! Why oh why did I wait so long?! Cleaning is almost not a chore with this! We have a small home and I can do the entire house. No cords to constantly plug, move, unplug over and over. No bags to buy. I honestly love this (but hate to admit that to my family)

Should have bought it sooner

I love my Dyson vacuum. My husband wanted me to get one for a long time and I resisted. I finally gave in and bought one and I couldn't be happier. It is so convenient to use and the suction is great.

Works great on my hardwood floor.

My husband bought this for me for Christmas, and I like the way it cleans my hardwood floor, but what I don't understand is why there is no latch to hold down the button while you vacuum, you have to hold down the button the whole time you vacuum. I have a small 3 bedroom house and before I was done vacuuming, I had a very large blister on my thumb from the top of the handle rubbing against it due to having to hold down the button. The blister took 3 weeks to heal, I now know I can only vacuum my kitchen with it, so I don't end up with another blister. And if I'm being honest the blister is still not fully healed. Also the battery was dead by the time I got to the last room of my house. It does clean really good, just would have been a game changer if there was a latch to lock in place to run the vacuum. Especially for the price!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The fluffy soft roller head was engineered specifically for use on bare and hard surfaces, with woven fibers to help capture dust while cleaning. We know that battery run time is a very important aspect of performance for our owners, so we developed a trigger that helps maximize the amount of time you can clean on one charge. We chose a light-touch trigger over an on/off switch to ensure that battery life is never wasted by letting the machine run when it's not in active use.
We would certainly not expect a blister to occur as a result of using your Dyson product. If you are finding this to be your experience, we would recommend holding the unit lower down the handle to prevent rubbing or pressure on the top of your hand. Please also keep in mind that Dyson cordless vacuums will feature a runtime enhancing light touch trigger, which requires little pressure to run the unit as well. It may also prove helpful to ensure the unit is held with a firm, but not a very tight grasp, given that the light touch trigger does not require a very hard press or grasp to operate. If we can ever be of assistance with anything else, please do not hesitate to let us know.

So far, great machine!

Got this about a month ago, put it together (very easy) got my brother-in-law to install a receptacle in a closet, charged it the rest of the day, and voila! I vacuumed the kitchen and living room rug and hardwood floor as well as the stair and the blue light said I had power to do more. AND, my back did not ache! I've used it at least 3 times a week and both my sisters are sold on it so expect 2 more sales, not sure which model they'll choose. Thanks Dyson for a good product.

Easy on my back

Love the attachments, one for every job. Great on hardwood as well as carpet, stair attachment makes stairs easy and cleans exceptionally well. No cords and canisters to get tangled up in. Love how easy it is to empty with every use, so clean! Easy wall mount makes for great storage and ready to use always charged.
