I have been lugging around my old upright for years attaching add ons and dragging it everywhere. I can't believe how convenient my Dyson is and how light and easy it is to use. I am truly blessed to have one now!!!

Such an improvement. I can now sweep my whole house and not have to recharge. The attachment for rugs is great as I have a labrador and he loses a lot of hair. The bare floor attachment is equally as great, as it really picks up all the dog hair and dust. In all I am highly satisfied with this sweeper, and I would recommend it to anyone. I have an older handheld that still works great, and I have given it to my neighbor, as she has admired it for a long time. It does not work as well as my new v8, but it is still a good sweeper

Hi Joshua, this is Kelly with Dyson. We're sorry to hear that in your use thus far, you have found that the battery life is too short to vacuum your home with your V8 Absolute. Your machine comes with two suction modes; regular and MAX. Right out of the box, the machine is set to MAX suction, which provides a boost of suction for tougher messes or larger debris. This mode will give you up to 7 minutes of run time. In regular suction mode, which we do recommend for your everyday vacuuming, you'll get 30-40 minutes of run time, depending on if you're using a motorized tool.
You may be interested to know that the new Dyson V10 and V11 models have an advertised run time of up to 60 minutes, which is our longest run time to date.

My husband bought me this for my birthday. It kills my back and neck.Unfortunately,I will have to return it. Too hard for me to push.I would recommend it to a strong person.

This cord-free machine has an operational weight of 5.8 pounds, which does include the weight of the floor tool and wand. While this lighter weight is ideal for most users, there are some who may still find this machine heavier to use, as the majority of the weight of the vacuum is held in the hand.

Really SUCKS!

This vacuum works better than anything I've ever had, but only for about 15-20 minutes at a time and then needs charged for several hours. Guess I would recommend a corded model above this one but it still works great.

Best vacuum I’ve ever owned

My husband got me this as a present and I am so happy with this vacuum. As a house with three pets vacuuming happens a lot here and this vacuum makes it so simple, quick and painless. It’s very lightweight, great suction, it has a wonderful movement to get under the beds and under small nooks and cranny’s. I will never go back to another vacuum after this one!

I used to dread vacuuming because I had to work with one of those canister vacuums. Although it was pretty new, it would hit every door and corner, I had to unplug/plug it in again so many times but now I (almost) enjoy vacuuming. The animal is super easy to maneuver - with one hand even - and with one charge I'm able to cover 3 badrooms, 3 bathrooms and a family room as well as a living room with the carpet attachment. Since I don't have any carpet, I did order the attachment for tile/wood flooring but it's not a must have, you'll do fine with the carpet attachment! Also love the small roller attachment which I use on my stairs and fabric sofas and I was shocked and pleased at the same time when I saw how much dust and pet hair the animal picked up. Worth the investment if you have pets!!
