Light and versatile!

My yellow lab is a big shedder due to his allergies and this vacuum makes it effortless to keep up, especially on dark carpets. I often wonder why he’s not bald because of the amount of hair that gets vacuumed almost daily.

Easy and effective cleaning

I've used it twice but so far I'm very impressed. I'm cleaning things I never usually clean except on rare occasions, like vents, drapes and beneath and behind furniture. Works great in the car too. It's lightweight, more powerful than any cordless vac I've used, and maneuvers in all directions effortlessly. Attachments snap on and off securely and easily. Waste canister volume and battery charge holds out long enough to get through my 2200 square foot home. When done, I'm actually questioning if I forgot to clean something because it seems too quick and easy. So, as you can tell, I'm very happy with my purchase.

Batteries not strong enough.

Hello there, this is Kelly with Dyson. We're sorry to hear that you haven't found the battery life to be sufficient in your V8 Absolute. Your vacuum will come with standard and Max power modes. Our cordless models also have a run-time enhancing light touch trigger which ensures battery power is only used when the trigger is pushed. In Max power run time will be up to 7 minutes, and in standard power, you can expect run times of up to 30-40 minutes depending on which tool or attachments you are using.
Lithium-Ion batteries are subject to degradation over time. This is completely normal and occurs with any device that uses this type of battery. Battery degradation is not a fault of the machine. It happens to all batteries in everyday items, such as mobile phones and laptops. Unfortunately, we are unable to advise how long each component will last in each individual's home. Best product I've ever bought

Pros: cordless, easy to use, easy to store, so far it’s kept a charge long enough to vacuum my 2200 sq ft house. cons: it’s a bit heavy for me, there’s no way of knowing what attachment to use on carpet or on hardwood, have to hold the button down the whole time.
