A few things could be improved

First of all am generally very happy with the V8 animal in both in terms of construction and performance. It is easy to use , store and charge. It is well designed and easy to use. Performance is good to very good on hard floors easily cleaning up spilt flour for example. It struggles a bit on small hard objects for example dried beans. Gravity overcomes the ‘normal’ suction and the beans rattle back down the pipe.
Performance on carpet is very good considering it’s size - am most impressed.
So what could be improved ? Number one and the most annoying the catch that holds the “door” in place is weak and a few times now the door has opened spilling the dust contents back on the floor. Just make sure the door is firmly closed otherwise you will end up vacuuming twice.
Finally The kit of screws/ plugs to affix the V8 to dry wall needs to be improved - I ended up using my own ( much beefier) screws and plugs.
Overall an excellent product

I wish I could get it earlier! So light but so powerful! My home is super clean because I use it as a broom to sweep the floor. I just love it. Now not only the floor is super clean, also the ceilings, and the beds. It’s worth the money. Though the full charge still not provide long enough time, it’s great for me to stop working.

We own an older model and love it. Rarely does the vacuum cleaner get used. Decided to get the V8 for our daughter and of course my husband had to try it out. Great suction and so easy to use. Our daughter loves it and works great in her condo for quick cleaning.
When ours gives up the ghost we will definitely purchase another Dyson.

I have used the DC35 for years and loved it. However, the new V8 is far more powerful and cleans better. It has become my go to machine for the whole house, not just the quick clean ups of fur, kitty litter and crumbs.
The attachments are easier to put on and take off. Slick!! The V8 motor is far quieter. My one cat is terrified of the noises vacuums make. She pretty much ignores the V8. What a delightful change.
On the whole the V8 has powerful suction and is a great cleaning tool!!!

I love this cordless vacuum! Light weight, powerful, excellent for woodwork, walls, floors and carpet.
The one thing you must do, is adjust your tasks to the battery life.
