This unit has plenty of power, is highly maneuverable, light in weight, but has one drawback. I have a housekeeper come once a week for a major cleaning. The battery does not holdup as advertised. The 40 minutes on "Standard" power turns out to be more like 20-30 minutes. However, the housekeeper loves it because it by far surpasses what it replaced.

The Best Cordless Vacuum Available

I purchased this machine two weeks ago and I love it. I've had the V6 model for years and thought it was exceptionally good. The V8 Absolute has improved upon nearly every aspect of the already excellent V6. Dyson machines are not inexpensive, but they are worth every penny. The follow up customer service is the best in the business. I highly recommend this machine.

The previous Dyson we had lasted for around 10 years, and gave us excellent performance. Once the motor started to wear out, we replaced the old one with the V8. This is an even better vacuum, with much improved suction and cleaning.

SO Convenient!

I had no idea how much I would really love this machine, but let me tell you, I am hooked! It is SO convenient without a cord when getting behind and under things. No more dragging the cat water accidentally across the kitchen as it gets tangled in the cord. The 2 heads work great and are easy to interchange, and the fact that you can easily clean the couch cushions, molding, and car by disconnecting the handle is an added bonus. We have it charging on the wall in our laundry room, and it is always ready to pick up kitty litter or any other crumbs. I still use my bigger Dyson for heavy duty cleaning, but this guy fits the bill the rest of the month and holds its charge nicely. Thanks, Dyson!

The Dyson V8 is the vacuum I've been waiting for my whole life! It's light, maneuvers well and has great suction. The cordless aspect is so convenient. My house has never been so clean. I love it!
