Excellent vacuum cleaner, we live the suction power. Specially the two speed settings to allow for different uses as well as the practicality of the unit to get around the house!!

I love my cordless Dyson vacuum. It cleans better than my canister vacuum and is much easier on my shoulders and arms. Wish I had gotten it sooner. Would recommend a Dyson cordless to anyone.

Easy to use and very effective

I was tired of dragging around the old canister on wheels tethered to a cord. The Dyson lets me effortlessly move from one room to another, is quieter than my old machine, and cleans up the fine dust more effectively. What's not to love?

Impeccable customer service from Marco! Battery was replaced quickly and efficiently. Very informative on the dyson vacuum which we use daily! Lightweight and easy to maneuver. Been through many vacuum brands through the years and finally found the BEST! Try it you’ll love it!

Hello there, this is Kelly with Dyson. We're sorry to hear that you're experiencing shorter than expected run times from your V8 Absolute. It does sound like you may have your machine in the MAX suction setting, which it will be set to right out of the box. In this mode, suction is boosted, however you will only notice about 7 minutes of run time on a full charge. This mode is great for larger debris or more stubborn messes, and we wouldn't recommend using this mode for your everyday vacuuming. You will notice that if using MAX for everyday cleaning, the battery life may degrade at a faster rate as well.

Light weight and easy to use

I am in the middle of moving, and wouldn't you know it, my old vacuum cleaner died. Typically, I put a fair amount of time into research before spending big bucks on anything - but, this time I didn't have the luxury of time to do so. I had long thought about the convenience of this particular vacuum, and had wondered if it could really do the job of deep cleaning. So, upon the death of my beloved old vacuum, I ran to the local big-box store and bought one. I have found it to be super easy to use - light weight, and not having a cord to drag around is a delight. I also am impressed with how well it cleans - both hardwood/tile and carpet. This particular model came with several attachments - very easy to use. So far, the battery has proven to be as advertised - 40 minutes (as long as you are in standard mode - I accidentally used it at "max" mode and the battery pooped out after 15 minutes). Also, the battery re-charges rather quickly. So, why did I only give it 4 stars?? The one problem that I've encountered is with emptying the canister. Trust me, this is not an easy task. The directions that came with the vacuum indicate that you simply lift up a little red lever and the canister will magically open below. My experience has been that it is an enormous pain in the neck to get the bloody thing to open. I've tried being very gentle in lifting the red lever with no effect. I've tried being more aggressive in lifting the red lever, with no effect. It is a nuisance, and one that I would not expect from such expensive equipment. Needs work!
