AMAZING!

This basically replaced our previous corded vacuum cleaner. 40 minutes of run-time is surprisingly long!! We can do both floors of our house (carpet and hardwoods) with time to spare. Each floor is 900 square feet, so it is plenty of time!!! And super powerful. The new canister design is incredible. No more touching the dirt or pulling it from the machine!

a new baby means a lot of mess and clean up. with this v8, not any more. I don't even worry when i am cleaning the mess since there is no cord. My baby can even play with it since it is safe. Thank you Dyson!

Where has the V8 Absolute been all my life?

This does everything I've ever imagined a vacuum doing at a volume so low I kept listening to the news on the radio while using it and my husband slept upstairs! First time in my life I've emptied a vacuum without any debris or dust flying. Did I mention the bare floor attachment? The roller, plus forward and rear sections, are covered in something that feels like velveteen and sucks up dust from the floor. The carpet attachment not only does a beautiful job on my thick-pile oriental, it cleans light-weight throw rugs without taking them with it. The small attachments are lovely and the fittings strong. Anything else? It does it. And weighs nothing, nothing I tell you!

Exceeded my expectations

This little guy really does quite well on our area rugs and heavier throw rugs as well as great for quick runs over the carpets. It is very effective on our wood floors, too. Maneuverability around furniture and such is really excellent. We use the huge Dyson Ball on the main carpets maybe twice a month, but let this V8 do the routine stuff. Our home is about 2,000 square feet, and if I don't get too picky, it will do the whole house on one charge. Very, very happy with it, so far.

I love this vacuum. It is lightweight and cordless which makes it so convenient to use. I have used it for all my normal vacuuming and on furniture, stairs, and the car.

I knew it should do a good job because of the top rating in a leading consumer service. On Face Book I saw that my daughter had one and raved about it. I needed it to pickup dog hair from my Golden Retriever. We have mostly hardwood floors and area rugs and my wife shows me the hair she picks up with a duster every morning. I wanted to get something that would do a good job and not to be too much of a chore. I decided that price was not a factor. I am totally thrilled with the job it does. Amazing how much it picks up not only on the hardwood but from the area rugs. It does seem to need to be handled gently and I am not going to let my once weekly house cleaner use it because she seems to break everything she uses. It does the whole 1st floor of our home and still has battery power left. Love it!
