Love the new V8

I got the new Animal V8 Dyson and I love it . I can clean my house in no time and love how easy it is to do the stairs with this great Dyson. But my favorite feature is no cords and the battery last for a long time .

I am ocd about my floors and vacuum daily. I have had many cordless vacs and this one excels them all! I absolutely love it. It is so easy to maneuver and can get into small spaces. The charge last longer than any I've ever had. I definitely will buy another if this one ever wears out. Thanks, Dyson!

Light, Fast and effecient

I am over the moon with this machine. I have had it for three days and have used it for all sorts of household uses. I have vacuumed the hard wood floors and the carpeted rooms and stairs. Used the accessories to vacuum the couch, the floor and trunk of my car, crumbs in the pantry, food particles around the stove, dust and particles under the fridge, baseboard and my office desk. Living in a three story house it fantastic to have a light vacuum that works amazing!

Very easy to change the various attachments

not up to what the adds say. Very poor battery supply. Heats up and shut off within ten to twelve minutes and runs out in less than twenty minutes just when using it for dusting. far short of the given almost forty minutes stated. Hard to recommend to anyone.

Your machine features two suction modes, regular and max, for cleaning any size mess in your home. Right out of the box, your V8 will be switched on to max mode. This will provide you with a boost of suction power, for larger debris or more stubborn messes. The trade-off for this boost of suction is less run time; just about 7 minutes.
We do recommend using regular power mode for everyday vacuuming. This mode still provides sufficient suction power, and up to 40 minutes of run time, depending on if you're using one of your motorized tools. Having a shorter run time does sound unusual. While we don't ever expect any problems to occur with your V8 Absolute, Dyson does back your new machine from an authorized retailer with a free 2-year guarantee. Takes the nastiness out of vacuuming

I love love love this vacuum. It's so well-engineered it's a real pleasure to use. All the elements of vacuum cleaners that used to give me grief - emptying the bin, changing the filters, etc. - these are done so easily and elegantly in the Dyson that I actually enjoy them. I'm more than pleased with my purchase.
If I had to do it again, though, I would get the V11 because it has the snap-in exchangeable battery and a little more power. The battery in the V8 is exchangeable but it attaches with screws. I live in a small space so the V8 has been adequate for me, but I will be moving to a new larger home soon and suspect the extra battery and boost in power might be welcome there.

Doesn't hold charge

I bought this machine less than 2 years ago. I have only used the hand held part of the vacuum. Other parts still in box with plastic wrapping. The machine will not stayed charged even 5 minutes and it should stayed charged up to 40 minutes. This is a new machine not a refurbished. I paid full price for for a machine that doesn't last 2 years. V8 Animal+ Dyson Cord-free Hassle free purple
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Right out of the box, your machine will be set to MAX suction mode. In this mode, you'll receive a boost of suction power, with run times of about 7 minutes. This mode is ideal for picking up larger debris, or more stubborn messes. In regular suction mode, after a full charge you should get up to 30-40 minutes of fade-free run time.
