Basically a wonderful vacuum.

I love the way this vacuum picks up cat hair and is easy maneuver into corners and under furniture. The one major fault I have with it is that it does not stand on its own. If you have to move a piece of furniture, like a chair at a table, it is has to be propped against something and will often crash to the floor. Fortunately, it does not damage the unit, but often the bin will pop open and spill dirt all over. Except for this problem, I really love it.

I just bought a new home with wood floors throughout so decided to get the Dyson V8 with the wood floor attachment. It works great! It's amazing how light weight it is. I do see why some complain about the handle rubbing on their hand uncomfortably, but it's not a deal breaker for me.
I love how easy it is to dump the canister, and I love the attachments that allow me to clean my baseboard heat register, pet hair off of my couch, and even clean my car!
The only con I would say is the life span of the charge when you're doing max power. If you keep up with your vacuuming though, this shouldn't be an issue.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Almost fun to vacuum!

I wish I had purchased this years ago, it's so lightweight, easy to use, can go anywhere -- under your chairs, bed, couches, etc. without ever having to move them. It's so nice not having a cord following you around, stairs are a snap, love, love this vacuum!

very good attachments and great suction. I have used this once so far and my only issue is my hand keeps getting shocked. I don't know if this issue will resolve, but if it does not I am going to have to contact Dyson and get a replacement.
