Excellent vacuum with great power

We got this vacuum as an upgrade and absolutely love it. Because it's so lightweight it's easy to go anywhere in the house. The only issue I have is that the on button cannot be locked in the on position so you have to ensure you're always squeezing the trigger but otherwise everything else is great.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Amazing

This is an amazing vacuum, I am glad we chose the V8 Absolute. It os powerful but quiet. The amount of dirt and dust I got with my first vacuum after using my old one was so satisfying.
My only comment (and the reason for only 4 stars) is that the grip is neither ergonomic nor padded (Sugru to the rescue). I ask the designers to redesign the grip to be comfortable because after vacuuming for 20 minutes, my hand began to hurt.
But the value for the efficacy is high.

Battery life

Very disappointed in run time. Even on the lower suction setting it gets nowhere near the 30 minute run time it is advertised as having. Also, a real pain in the neck to empty the bin. Difficult to open and close it. I got rid of my old model for this one because of the longer run time it advertised. Pretty disappointed all the way around.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I put off getting a new vacuum. Did lots of research & decided to get v8. I’m very satisfied with its performance, because was afraid of buyers remorse-but that didn’t happen.

I am so happy to have my Dyson V8 Animal. It makes vacuuming so easy, no longer a chore to dread. I'm able to get under the couch and bed easily. I need to vacuum everyday and the Dyson V8 has made it doable.

Does a great job! Light & easy to use. Does great with floors and plenty powerful enough to clean even thick carpets. The amount of trash I pulled out of my old worn out carpet was truly disgusting.
