Great suction

Hard to clean after use, still a good product, but if dyson can make easier to clean, and the base is more durable, it would be perfect.

(Almost) everything I wanted

I bought this for quick clean-ups, stairs and area rugs. I got 2 out of 3. Turns out the suction is just too strong for area rugs — the vacuum locks up when the rug catches in the motorhead (main floor tool). I have had success, though, using the soft dusting brush on small area rugs. Kinda like painting a door with a pastry brush, but it gets the job done. I plan to look at optional accessories to see if something could work better. Other than that, I am pleased with this purchase. Other reviewers had me concerned about the weight and the need to hold the trigger at all times, but these have not proved a problem at all.

Ridiculously Powerful! Battery could have been longer

Excellent suction power. It's our first Dyson V8 in the house. We bought the handheld one thinking that we can use it in our car as well. This bad boy managed to get all of the hair from two of our carpeted bedrooms that has been left behind for generation. Love the docking. Only downside would be the battery that could have been better. With the highest suction power, I can barely finish the apartment (2br 1br and living room, ~700 sq ft.).

I'm enjoying my new Dyson V8 Absolute, which edges well. I hope they can make a cordless that one does not have to keep the on trigger depressed at all times, and make it lighter. For elderly or arthritic customers, or ones with carpal tunnel issues, it can be a bit uncomfortable to engage the on trigger the entire time one is vacuuming.

Excellent portable vacuum

Excellent for dog hair on hardwood floors. I don’t use the max setting as not needed. The floor attachment has a tendency to get clogged with dog hair at times, but easy to unclog. Multiple YouTube videos on how to thoroughly clean it. Pretty easy. Even on rugs, it cleans better then my bissell upright vacuum. Would be nice if the wall mount would hold all the attachments and not just 2. Overall I really like the performance of the vacuum

I bought it a month ago and and very pleased with the performance on wood floors. I have an earlier version that I also continue to use for area rugs along with this new one. I'm a Dyson fan forever!
