Works great as a broom on our tile floors

We bought this to better sweep our tile floors since brooms just leave way too much behind and don’t get everything. The V8 is so fast and picks up on the very first pass.
The first time we used it, the bin filled really fast with so much the broom left behind, I had to empty it three times. Now daily sweeping with the V8 gives me just a little in the bin unless there is a lot of tracked in dirt, smashed chips, or other debris on the floor. Sweeping time in now a fraction of what it was before and the floor is cleaner and ready for mopping.
My only concern is how well it will hold up without breaking parts. I try to be gentle with it, but others using it are not always gentle because it wasn’t their money spent.

I never thought I'd be so excited to vacuum! This is an amazing machine. It cleans so nicely, thoroughly, and speeds up a necessary task!

Better than I expected

I bought this vacuum a few weeks ago after agonizing over multiple different brands. Ultimately this vacuum being cordless and high powered put it at the top of my list. I am so happy I chose this vacuum. It is so easy to use that even my 7 &8 year old can grab it and get to work.. My daughter now vacuums the kitchen every night after dinner and my son vacuums the few carpeted areas we have in the house. Emptying the bin is a breeze and you will be amazed at the stuff it picks up. My only complaint is there are more attachments than space to store them. Fortunately I have a shelf to put the extra pieces but a large wall mount with more storage would put this product over the top.

WOW Great Vacuum

The first couple of times that I used the vaccum, I could not believe how much it picked up and how easy it was to use. It works great on carpet and laminate floors but wow on stair carpeting. I have not used all of the tools yet but look forward to doing so.

I've only owned this for a day and have already vacuumed my whole house from top to bottom. It's a delight to use. The battery lasted long enough for me to do my whole 2-story 2-bedroom townhouse in one pass, although I became less meticulous towards the end as I could tell it was running out. After it was fully charged again, I did a thorough pass with the power brush over my area rug and stairway carpeting (emptying out 5 canisters of gunk that my old machine didn't catch, yuck!) I am thrilled with this machine. It took me a few tries to get the hang of emptying the canister but it was more of a user error/failure-to-read-instructions issue than anything ;) The one definite flaw is that the trigger does tire out your finger. Seems easy enough to improve this with an on/off switch or locking mechanism, so considering how many people have complained, I hope Dyson is on it.
