Battery does't last, good vacuum but can't even finish 3 rooms
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The V8 comes with two suction modes: powerful suction mode and max mode. Powerful suction mode is ideal for the majority of cleaning tasks and provides up to 40 minutes. The max mode is created to be a temporary boost of power for particularly stubborn messes, and provides a total 8 minutes of run time alone.

A lot of power on both Hi and Max Only minor negative is that the battery could last a little longer on Max.

I have an old upright Dyson and it works well, but the No CordV8 Dyson is a real treat to easily take around the house!

So Easy and Convienent

We got one of these for our daughter as a gift and decided to get one for ourselves too! It is so much easier than my old canister vac, and so powerful. I brought it into the office to show off and convinced 5 coworkers to buy one too! Never thought I would see the day that I enjoyed vacuuming!

I wouldnt have believed it if I hadnt tried it myself. The suction from this handheld is excellent. Maneuverability is superior. Would definitley recommend this unit!

What a great machine!

The super suction, ease of movement no light weight make this the best stick vacuum I halve ever tried. I have a large Dyson machine and this one compliments it perfectly for in between times. I love the way it cleans my kitchen floor!...it glides.
As good as any large machine but with all the advantages of being smaller and lighter, a Dyson too.
I would buy t.his machine again in a minutes!
