We purchased the new V8 Absolute two months ago and we love it. It is much quieter than our old Dyson handheld and does so much more. Love the light weight and extended run time (we get about 35-40 minutes). All of the different attachments really help keep things clean on our new hardwood floors and the carpeted stairs. We did NOT receive this free for this review. Highly recommend.

Suction is amazing, the amount of dirt and dust that I remove after vacuuming is shocking, cannot believe that was on my floors! The cordless feature is just beyond helpful, to be able to vacuum my entire apartment without having to deal with a cord is just amazing! It’s slim design works great if you live in an apartment, so much easier to store the vacuum when you aren’t using it! I really do look forward to vacuuming now!!! Highly recommend!!!

This is by far the best vacuum that I have ever seen. So convenient with all the attachments. Light! It makes me WANT to clean :D

I was underwhelmed with the small brush head. Maybe good for a small condo but not a house. The only bonus is that I’m able to vacuum under the bed.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Your machine does feature two heads for floor cleaning; the direct drive head with a spinning brush bar, and the soft roller head, which has specifically been engineered for use on bare floors. You also have a mini motorized head, which is ideal for picking up pet hair from furniture, stairs, or other hard-to reach areas.
Our newest cord-free machine, the V11 Outsize, features a full-size cleaner head and full-size bin, allowing you the power to clean your entire home in a shorter period of time. That being said, we're glad to hear that you've been pleased with the reach that the V8 provides, especially with getting in low spaces like under the bed.

Hands-down this is the best cordless vacuum on the market, best purchase we have ever had in our household with two cats and a dog that's constantly sitting hair. Super easy to use as well

Threw the last one away. Lasted some time, they replaced the battery once. This seems to be better. This is our 4th Dyson. Love the first and second plug ins. Hated the first battery operated one. Hoping this is better. Love the product, when it works.

I absolutely adore the convenience of this vacuum. It's light weight and easy. I find myself vacuuming WAY more than I ever did with my upwrite or canister vacs. It's fantastic on wood floors!
Why I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars:
1. The waste bin is really small and with a dog it tends to fill up very quickly. If I'm vacuuming the whole house (a small 3 bedroom with wood floors throughout, including the 3 huge area rugs), I need to empty the bin twice or sometimes 3 times which can get annoying. But I love the unit as a whole so I guess I overlook it.
2. It doesn't vacuum carpet all that well. 2 of our 8'x10' area rugs are nice quality so they are more dense/higher pile. The V8 will pick up crumbs left by my toddler and most of the dog hair but I don't feel like it really gets in there like my upright vacuum did, (even on max suction).
3. Comes with 5 different heads, which is great, but the mount only has 2 storage spots. If you have one attachment on the vacuum, 2 stored on the mount, where do you put the other 2??? Design flaw.
Overall I Love this thing but it could use a few adjustments!
