Love this vacuum. Goes where my other Dyson does not go Fantastic suction! Easier to empty this tank. Absolutely recommend this vacuum to my friends.

I bought this vacuum for my work place and I had to fight extremely hard for this product. With that being said, it was all worth it. This thing has made cleaning a breeze. I've been able to finish all my closing duties with 15-25 minutes to spare. For any business owner, this thing will cut payroll cost so much. For any normal consumer who just wants a great vacuum, this will still be the best choice. My ONLY complaint, is the battery power. If it could last for 2 Hours uninterrupted it would be the best but that's what I believe the V11 was made for. The charge time as well is quite long. Things like these are small inconveniences that are overshadowed by its overall performance.

Very hard to move around

I don't get the other reviews. When I try to vacuum my carpet the unit sucks so strongly that it is almost impossible to move. If I change to minimal suction, then what is the point? With this level of power, I would believe there could be a way for Dyson to design this to move much smoother. Really disappointing.

The V8 Animal really is a magnificent animal!

In 45 years of owning both furry cats and vacuum cleaners, the V8 Animal is the first machine that really, really works. I was AMAZED at the amount of fur it picked up the first time we used it. The V8 is light and easy to handle. Unlike bulky canister vacuums with long tubes, it's compact to store and convenient to pull out in an instant. The cordless feature--and the fact that it converts to a handheld vac--means that we can de-fur both floor and furniture quickly and easily. We'll never go back to an ordinary vacuum cleaner!

Finally, A cordless that works for animal hair

Everyone says buy our product if you have pets. But none I purchased so far came anywhere near the hype. Until this one! Folks, I have a kennel of Bull Mastiffs. Five of which always sleep inside on an area rug. I used this V8 for the first time and it did an excellent job on the rug as well as the rest of the hardwood floors. Didn't get the run time they advertised but enough to do an 700 square foot family room! I own three other Dyson vac's but this one tops them all! Good Job Dyson!!!!

Excellent vacuum

We really needed a small handheld vacuum and this is perfect for us. The battery life is good, it is solid but not too heavy and the suction is fine. Cleaning s easy. We too would prefer batteries that could be swapped out, but it holds a charge well and does not take too long to charge. We had an excellent salesperson at a Dyson store who listened to what we needed, chose the right machine for us and was very helpful. We are very satisfied customers, only sorry we did not buy it earlier....

Battery died right after warranty was ip

How convenient of the battery to die a few months after the two year warranty was up, these people know what they are doing. I thought these batteries were supposed to last 4-5 years, mine lasted 2.5 years and I don’t even use it heavily as our cleaners bring their own vacuum!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
