I bought this to replace the one I gave to my son for his new condo. We love Dyson and the stick is the best thing ever. The battery life is better in this one and the rug attachment is much stronger. It is so strong you don't have to go to the heavy duty suction and drain the battery. I would definitely buy another with no second thoughts.

This is my second Dyson cordless vac. I originally purchased the V6 model and now I own the V8 Animal model and oh my goodness. It's soo QUIET! I love it! I recommend you buy this model, it will be the best investment you will make!

Great features, easy to use!

I bought this 3 weeks ago and use it almost every day. With a very hairy dog and messy teenager and husband, it's been put to great use and I couldn't be happier with it! I have difficulty going up and down stairs, and with this vacuum, it's so easy. No complaints here.

Dirt comes back out

So I purchased after recommendations from others, i like that its light weight, easy to use, and great suction while on ma (except the battery wont last on max). The issue I have is that the dirt does not stay in the canister once I stop pressing the button and lift the vacuum of the floor the dirst flies out.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

MY SECOND DYSON

I purchased this a week ago knowing full well the confidence I have in Dyson products. I purchased a similar competitor's model and while it was good at it's job, it doesn't compare to the suction power of dyson, the lightness of dyson models, and the durability. This is my second dyson, after gifting my previous model to a family member who has arthritis. These vacuums are amazing machines and I don't hesitate to recommend this one to anyone looking to suction their carpets or collect all the dust, debris, and pet hair their floors/carpets collect.

The Cats have met their match!

We were looking for a vacuum to do quick pick ups between using our corded tank type vacuum. The Dyson has become the primary vacuum! We foster cats and the Dyson V8 does an amazing job picking up after them. We have polished concrete floors and area rugs and the V8 adapts to all surfaces nicely. The attachments that come with the V8 are such a bonus when it comes time to clean out the cars or collect lint and dust in hard to reach areas.The Dyson handles well and is so versatile. It's amazing to see what the Dyson picks up right down to fine silt.Great Product!

Great machine with a poor trigger

Excellent performance but the trigger is very poorly designed. Constant hold "on" causes pain and blister on trigger finger due to rubbing. Should be click on and click off style switch. Otherwise 5 stars would result. Will hope for Dyson to offer after market trigger to eliminate this ridiculous flaw.
